1. General
Echelon is the trading name of Echelon Self-Defence and Fitness LLP. Echelon offers memberships to access regular Self-Defence training, Krav Maga training and Combat Fitness training at various locations across London; amongst other benefits. All memberships are subject to approval by Echelon. Members must be at least 18 years old. Membership fees, types and benefits may vary and are subject to change.
2. Rules and Regulations
All prospective class and event participants must complete our Health and Declaration Form prior to participation in any class or event. All class and event participants, prospective members and members must comply with all club rules, policies and guidelines, including safety instructions and proper equipment use and declare their acceptance to undertake Krav Maga training as per the full declaration here. Echelon members are required to: Purchase a Krav Maga Global (KMG) UK training license by the sixth class attended if they do not already have one and to maintain a valid KMG UK license. Attend class in appropriate attire (an Echelon or KMG branded t-shirt or top and training trousers, leggings or shorts) and, if they have a KMG grade, wear their patch on their training trousers, leggings or shorts. Echelon reserves the right to refuse access or terminate memberships for any breach of these terms.
3. ClassPass
Echelon may from time to time offer access to our regular classes through ClassPass. Those attending classes via this route are eligble to do so once. Thereafter, access to classes is only available directly through Echelon.
4. Locations and Classes
Broad locations are Echelon Central West and Echelon Central East. Echelon Central West refers to Fulham and Victoria; Echelon Central East refers to London Bridge and Victoria. All locations are as per detailed on the locations page on our website. Echelon will provide a minimum regular offering of two Krav Maga classes in each broad location (except during the breaks to our regular timetable as detailed below) though we expect our offering to be considerably more overall. No classes run on UK bank holidays or over the adjacent weekend. Broad Locations, locations and class timetables are subject to change. Specifically, from time to time, classes may be removed from the regular timetable and repurposed to facilitate seminars, courses and other events. Echelon will notify members in writing and update the relevant page on our website at least one week prior to any change. In this instance, Echelon will not refund any already paid membership fees. There may be instances where we need to cancel classes. Echelon will notify members in writing of any cancellations, endeavouring to provide as much notice as possible, noting that this may often be at short notice. In this instance, Echelon will not refund any already paid membership fees.
5. Regular Timetable and Breaks
Echelon runs classes on a regular timetable detailed here. There are two scheduled breaks to the timetable per year: A two week summer break comprising the first full week in which August 1st falls and the subsequent week. A three week winter break comprising the last two full weeks in December and the subsequent week. No classes or events are run during these breaks. These breaks give our instructors and members some well earned time off to relax, reset and refocus. Membership fees are designed to cover more than just training, including admin, equipment and social events amongst other items over the course of the year. In that respect, members agree to not routinely pause their memberships during these breaks.
6. Payment and Fees
Members agree to pay all applicable fees, charges and taxes for their selected membership type. Late or returned payments may be subject to additional fees. Members are responsible for ensuring that their payments are successful. If membership payments fail, members will be notified and further attempts will be made to collect the payment over a two week period. If successful payment is not made by the end of this period, then memberships are subject to immediate cancellation.
The first payment is taken at the time of subscription; subsequent payments occur at intervals relative to the date of the first payment. From time to time, we align membership payments to occur on the 1st day of each period.
7. Pause and Cancellation Policy
Members may amend, pause or cancel their memberships at any time. Amendments or cancellations can be actioned via the membership portal accessible here. Pauses must be requested in writing via an email sent here. If paused, members are precluded from attending regular classes, though other membership benefits continue. Members are responsible for ensuring they do not attend regular classes whilst their membership is paused and must unpause their memberships prior to attending regular classes again. Memberships that are paused for three consecutive months are automatically and immediately cancelled. Former members are welcome to re-apply for membership at a later date, but will be subject to the standard process and fees. If cancelled, memberships will run to the end of their term. There are no refunds for any unused portions of the term.
8. Refund Policy
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed according to locations and classes and the pause and cancellation policy.
9. Personal Information and Privacy
Personal information collected will be managed according to Echelon's Privacy Policy. Echelon may use personal information for marketing purposes, subject to applicable laws.
10. Images, Videos and Social Media
Echelon instructors will routinely capture images and videos during classes and events for the purpose of training analysis and use on our website and social media channels. You consent for your image to be captured for the purposes described. However, you can opt out by notifying us in writing here.
